A new Magnolia

Taken today when it was raining (Hooray for rain!) and the wind was pretty strong as you can see by the petals bending...Shirley

Re: A new Magnolia

The Southern Magnolia does not do a full tree covered bloom...a few blossoms now and then. This is a 12 foot tree with three flowers at this time. It grows in the park and is from the woods there.
The rain has continued all night, sometimes very heavy...thunder and lightning all night too. Had a tornado threat and still under a flood threat. ( our house is on a small hill with excellent drainage to a sink hole well behind us. I am concerned about the Sandhill nest at the park...did the water rise to cover it? We got about 4 inches so far..Shirley
