About me

I have been interested in photography since the early 1960's. I started out with a little Kodak 127 camera.
After starting work i bought a secondhand Voigtlander Vito B and got some really nice pictures with it. I decided i wanted an SLR so tried various manufacturers including, Zenith, Minolta, Pentax, etc before finally settling on a Canon A1 SLR kit which i still own.
I went digital about 5 years ago with Nikon cameras (D70,D90).
Over the years i have had the good fortune to work with 3 or 4 pro photographers, industrial as well as agency, who have given me help and advice.
I try to improve both my technique and visualisation in order to produce worthwhile images. I endeavour to get a different viewpoint if at all possible and avoid the obvious. I look for beauty and impact in the photographs i take, and hopefully i achieve that sometimes.
