Bad news & Good news

Bad news..had a severe crash on my PC and lost over 1000 pics luckily i had some of the better ones saved elsewhere....

Good news

Remember i said i had an e a few weeks back from a photo mag, Just got email from digital photo magazine saying the pics i sent are in the October edition of the mag out on Sept 11th in the' your photo' bit.. the bit where they suggest improvements etc...hope they are kind lol.. oh and i get a small payment too

looking forward to seeing them in print so to speak

That is really bad luck about the pics you have lost.


But, congratualtions I often buy Digtal Phot, so I will have to look out for your pic

phew the nice one of my son and dog is still on my camera !!! i almost wiped the memory card too at the weekend as i had them saved.. must get into backing up my photo folders now to my external hard drive...

Might be worth giving a data recovery software a go? They might still be there somewhere..

Phew.. just checked my camera, the nice one of my son and dog is still on the memory card.. i almost formatted it at te weekend too as i have it or had it in my pics folder.. must get into backing up.. some of the lost pics are of my friends kids christening was sorting a few to go on a disk


Oh if you want an autograph on the mag let me know LOL... just shows worth sending them in sometimes

I can't remember if it was on here or on Dogsey but there was a thread about data recovery as it happened to somebody else.

Great news about the photo - fingers crossed they don't slaughter it now you've told everybody LOL

Sorry you lost a load of shots, as Phil said, it may still be poss to retrieve the data via recovery....

Oh well in for a penny in for a pound i might even learn something.. like sell your camera pmsl
