Some mid ground contrast perhaps?

I think she needs legs or else she seems to spring from the ground iyswim!

They need to be silhouettes, I don't think there can be any middle ground. Apart from what daisy said, which is true, you either see the shape or the detail. That's my opinion anyway. Nice sky though!

Lovely silhouette but you can keep that and open up the middle a bit.

If you wanted to keep it really dark you could try a crop so it is less 50/50.
