Had thought to go there last Sunday but being a Holiday I thought of the crowd of people there ( a half dozen people is a crowd to me) and being so dry I hate to see the dry swamp areas...We had 36 hours of rain yesterday and the day before and still looking like more is coming...my little lake has added a lot of water...many former dry spots now covered with water and the Sandhill nest is still okay..she made her nest on a spot usually under water but since it has been so dry it is now a above water...the area between her nest and the shore was dry but is now water again. I was there 3 hours yesterday, rained every minute but I saw so many birds and even deer that I didn't tire of it...Mom was the one that caused me to leave..Shirley

nice photos. we visited paynes prarie once while we were in the state visiting my brother. it stormed and then when it stopped the sky turned white and the bugs came out.
