A bright idea
Currently trying to take interesting photos of boring everyday items. Have I succeeded?

I think you have done a good job of the subject matter but I guess it is a rather uninteresting in the first place. Actually wondered how they might look in high contrast b&w or poss colour?

That light makes some interesting shapes and angles and I think I like the monotone feel.
Not sure about the first one though - where does the focus fall?
Number 5 is my firm favourite - I like the way it doesn't give away completely that its just a light.

BC (and LM) - these are actually colour
notice the yellow-ish colour? (most noticeable in pic 2+3). That is where the plastic end has burned slightly. I think maybe the WB was off a bit, and with not so much natural light gave it that slightly mono tone. Feel free to edit these as you see fit too - always interested in what others do with my pics.
LM - The first one's focus? Down the pan I was wobbling a bit when I took that one but I quite liked the composition and the unusual perspective so posted it anyway lol. I like 5 too, it reminds me of a smiley face

I was interested to see how clean it is, mine would be flyblown but then may be you are better at housework than I.
I take the things around me but I will be sticking with my flowers I think I can't raise much enthusiasm for the low energy lamps at the best of times so I am sorry to say you have not roused my interest at all.

I think they're OK but I rekon you could come up with some nice simple graphic images.
Have to agree with Snapper regarding how clean they are. My lights look like something out of 'The Munsters' house.

Azz I tried the same thing not so long ago as I had not taken any photos for weeks. Looking around he house for something to snap at I tried taking photos of ornaments.
Trouble is I see them every day, so when looking at photos of them totally uninspired me and made me more frustrated.

Lol the reason it's so clean is.... cos it's almost never used I have two softer light lamps that I use 99% of the time.
