White Weed

This little weed seems to have colour coded florets because although this is a part of one head some of the pollen is red and some is yellow, again, does anyone know why? That is the problem with photography it teaches one to look and then you want to ask silly questions.

Not a clue why! But it's very pretty - and I really ike this shot.

Why are weeds so pretty? I like it.

You know what they say, weeds are flowers growing in the wrong place. I am fortunate to let most of my garden take care of it's self and all we do is mow, we have all sorts that have and are growing there including an orchid.

I wish my garden followed that philosophy (of course, key in your sentence is the word 'mow') I have nettles, and dock leaves, and loads of little yellow dandelion type things (some sort of wort?)... and that's about it! And it's about 10 feet high!

Well, yes, I don't do the mowing, Mr Snaps does that sometimes too well for my liking as I would like more left rough cut but unless I do it myself, which I can't, then I have to be grateful for what I get.

We have been here 10 years and when we came it was an over grown cabbage field, now it is full of trees, shrubs and birds, I love it. Oh! and so do the dogs.
