I love that first one ..the others are really good as well but that first one is gorgeous

Fantastic shots Ste - you continue to do a good job of selling the D300 and that lens!! Quality is just awesome!

With regards to photos I like 1, 3, and 4, although it would have been better if the background was different and it was just the owl.

You must be really pleased with your new set-up! Did you use the teleconverter this time?

Not used the teleconverter properly yet, was gonna get close enough today not to need it, will get out with it this week if the weather is good enough.

I shot no:3 on aperture priority f/6.3, 1/640th, 200 mm -0.3 ex comp, iso 200.

It's a European Eagle Owl (I think) if you mean the last ones. They are big.

Fab pictures once again esp the barn owls.

Yep thats the European Eagle Owl, they are huge and like to dine on foxes and even young deer, and will eat a barn owl or 2!!!
