Fondly Remembered Phil is Male

Phil

About me

I've always enjoyed 'taking' photographs but caught the bug back in late 80's / early 90's when I was lucky enough to study photography at college / Uni as part of my graphic design and illustration qualifications. Whilst I really enjoyed the dark room and developing side of film photography I'm 'digital' now for practical reasons.

Since moving to Scotland in the mid 90's I've been able to combine photography with my passion for hillwalking and the great outdoors. Every now and again I'll photograph something other than landscapes and like many people on here I snap away at my dogs as one day I'll only have photographs to remember them by.

Even a blind squirrel will find the odd nut - likewise every now and then I take a picture worth keeping.

Hey Phil, I only just noticed that people can leave comments on my photos, lol silly me, I am still a bit of a newbie on this forum

I am glad you like some of my images The effect of the bride was more a result of the lens, I tend to shoot as much as I can without using any flash, so all my shots tend to have a very narrow DoF. This is why her face is in focus, but not much else is There would have been some fill in flash on this shot I think (can't quite remember now) but the effect you see is definately a resulf of using maximum aperture.

    All the best,
    Alan.
