Montage [ horses ]

I went to a horse show the other week, still processing the stills to post but thought I would have a go at a montage, have never done one before so no idea how it will come across to others, opinions would be appreciated good or bad
I am surprised at how much quality loss there is as they are stills from my Nikon on optimum settings for size/resolution etc so for this first attempt its really just me wondering abou the timings/transitions and if the music fits as well as I hope for the subject matter
I don`t know how to do a clickable image for One True Media clips so just a link I`m afraid

Re: Montage [ horses ]

Lol Patch that's more a slideshow than a montage

A montage is usually one image made up of a number of others

Nice shots in the slideshow tho!

Its the first time I`ve tried it properly, being something of a dinosaur
I have the movie maker thing but could`nt make head or tail of it I will have to give that another try though in case the quality loss is less than one true media, I would like to be able to give the owner of the grey a copy as the horses in the montage [ slideshow ] were the Champ class and Buster [ the grey ] got First Reserve so I want to try to do a decent job of it for her as a memento especially as it was Buster`s first ever show

Thank you everyone for the feedback, and for looking in the first place, I know it`s a pain when things are slow loading so I appreciate it very much

Maybe they're trying to push them as 'video' montages.

A photographic montage is more like this:

(not a great one but an obvious one for demonstration purposes)
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Know what you mean now, I called it montage cos that`s what it comes under on one true media - plus I could`nt get the montage song from Team America out of my head while I was preparing the clips with the fades to each image, I need to get a life

Re: Montage [ horses ]

I do lots of photo montages (for the family blog) but I've never tried merging / blending them like that - I always do them as seperate rectangles. I'll have to try that.

As for quality n video montages.
Mine are always OK enough on my computer but are dreadful once uploaded to youtube - but I put them up there as a record of my kids for the rellies to see, rather than to showcase photo quality so it doesn't bother me much.
