Cul na Shee Sunset
Sunset viewed from the farm cottage I moved to recently. The title "Cul na Shee" is Gaelic and over the years I have been told two translations of what it means, the first is 'Corner of Tranquillity' and the second is 'Nook of Peace' either translation conveys the idyllic setting of the farm cottage. The hills in the distance are the Eildon Hills.
The photo above was taken from a slightly different angle, I feel this angle gives a bit more depth of field. Alas, I never noticed the cowslip that just happens to line-up with one of the hilltops and spoils this image for me but I just love the colour of the sky.
As I had left my Cokin ND graduated filters in the house, I applied the graduated ND filter action from Nik Software's Color Efex Pro 3.0, twice to achieve the colour of the sky as I remembered it when I took the photos.
