Not bad at all - though the light is a bit harsh - did you use the on camera flash? 
Try getting photos of flowers in good natural light - it can create really pleasing effects. I notice the little bug too - he's nicely captured, but may be more noticable if he was closer to the centre!
A great effort though - Well done!

Agree with Z about the light, natural light is much better than on-camera flash - give it a go, there should be a setting on your camera to turn off the flash
