A few random

I came third in a recent photo competition with Cambridge university and won £50 book voucher,a Jessops photo album & certificate-this was my attempt.

Despite looking tropical-its a nearby disused flooded quarry!

And couple more photos im pleased with.

An old mill a few miles away.

Sussex street in Cambridge.

Thanks for lookin'.

Re: A few random

Well done coming 3rd in the photo competition. I prefer #2 out of the 3, although I'm not to keen on the sky, colours seem a little off with a purple tinge on the clouds, and the clouds seem to be blown (no detail in them)

Are these scanned in film negatives? if so, perhaps your scanning software needs a little adjustment in the capture process. Forget that, I just noticed you are using an HP PhotoSmart M627 camera. Try experimenting with the differant settings on your cam, ie white balance, picture modes etc to try and get neutral and natural colours from your images.
Kit 1
Canon 5D MKII
Canon 400mm f5.6 L
Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L
Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L

I already do.I've basically pushed this camera as far as it will go!

I had to tint the sky slightly because it was a very bright day and the clouds lacked definition.Im still pleased with the end result though.
