Hey, a friend has asked me to come and take some photos of her childs christening on Sunday. the ones in the church are ok but they want me to get some of just the kids in the garden afterwards.

Any tips on nice poses etc would be great

Re: Christening Photos

I always think that the nicest photos of kids are candid shots! There are a few people here who I take a lot of inspiration from, and who are excellent at candid shots of kids - hopefully they'll see this thread. I posted a few of some kids I did recently for a friend, if you look in 'People' section.

Re: Christening Photos

Kids are usually quite photogenic, so I would go for candids too plus I think you lose the feel if you try to 'tell them what to do' as all their enthusiasm goes (just thinking back to what I was like, I'd be like 'oh Mum - but I want to go and play!'

Re: Christening Photos

Tell me about it - the photos I took of those kids - you could tell! The little lad was all for it - as he is at the age where posing is fun! The little girl however is much younger and had no interest whatever in formal portrait shots (which is what they were 'meant' to be )!

Re: Christening Photos

Another question on this subject, My friend wants them on a CD to get printed himself. But i still need to edit them but he could get lots of diffrent sized images. So after ive cropped and edited them. what is the best size to have the photos at?
