Went to a steam engine rally yesterday. Just spoilt by a heavy shower.

?????..... Azz, do I detect a note of disapproval? I must admit to being somewhat confused. Jalbum is highly regarded, reputable software for creating photo albums. They also offer free hosting for a limited number of albums (Jalbum.net) which is what my link connects to.

Am I right in thinking that you require me to make 15 separate posts to display these images when one will do? Perhaps you would care to elaborate on your comment.

I think Azz means you could post the photos all in one thread, about the steam rally - not 15 separate ones I prefer to look at them all on one page (because I open all links in new tabs - and I always have about 1928735265 open - so it confuses me ).

I really like the engine driver one!

Yeah Zoundz is right - these sections are generally intended for you to post the pics into them (you can post more than one image per post)

Azz, Zoundz, I think you are both missing my point. In order to show you my 15 images from the link "steam engine rally" I typed in just one URL. To show you the 15 images (all in the one post) I would have to type in 15 different URL's. There is also the added advantage in my method that you can view the images as an automatic slide show if you wish. Azz, in order that I can continue with this method would you please confirm that it is acceptable as at the moment I cannot see that I am breaking any rules. If it is not permitted then perhaps you can explain your objections.

I don't know about the rules, but I do know that you cannot expect to get many replies, as some people view things rather quickly and don't have time to view slideshows - or are at work and simply can't. I know I tend not to bother if I have to look at a slideshow, because my internet doesn't cope very well with it.

Click the link Zounds, it is not a slide show just an album page of large thumbnails you can enlarge if they take your fancy - it takes a lot less time to look than it would for the page to load if all 12 were posted in one post on here.

NikoSnap - that's just how this site is intended to be used; to post pictures here, rather than links to an off-site gallery. The only exceptions would be if the website was integral to the images somehow, eg an art exhibition website (commercial).

I prefer not to click on links, as you never know where they might take you or what might be attached, im not saying that yours a dodgy Niko, but some are!
