Just ordered a Lensbaby

Just ordered the Lensbaby Muse http://www.lensbaby.com/lenses-muse.php
with the Double Glass option, they've updated the Lensbaby, now you can choose your optics and they are interchangable, so will be collecting the different optics, will get the plastic next.

Really looking forward to playing with it just looking at the galleries has me all inspired, and now I can't wait

Could you explain to me what it does as I don't understand!
I see it mentioned a lot on Flickr so I know they are popular.

Re: Just ordered a Lensbaby

Little - imagine an old bellows camera. The LB works on a similar principle - you can adjust the bellow in and out and also laterally so you can distort you image and focus acutely on certain points in your framing and blur other areas. They take a bit of getting used to but are good fun, and can create some interesting images.

Re: Just ordered a Lensbaby

These are great fun to play with but do need a bit of messing around. I don't have one but had chance to play once or twice. Can imagine this will be good for you Suzi if you have a bit of time to concentrate on one shot and hang around for a bit. I would like one but doubt I'd use it much.

Re: Just ordered a Lensbaby

I have one but I really got annoyed with it.

As bc said if you have the time to sit and really study one pic you will be fine.

When I have 'retired' lol I will have all the time in the world and wont be constantly editing other peoples pics so i can concentrate on my own.

I am sure with your artistic skill [and knowledge] you will have a blast with it.

Maybe coming to you for some help.
