Stained Glass Windows

Stained Glass Windows from Winchester Cathedral.

If you ever go there, then you will see about 15 or 20 really cool windows, great place.

Soem nice shots, though the whites feel a bit blown in parts? Mind, that could be how it actually was of course!

I particularly like number 4 - it's a bit different, and very striking!

Thanks Zoundz. The whites are not blown out at all on any of my monitors here at home, this might be a monitor diiference issue between you and me, your monitor brightness sounds like it is higher than mine.

Could well be - I don't really 'understand' monitors as a result, I am sure mine is off most of the time!

Just adjusted the brightness (though it's all dark and horrible to work with for me now and true enough, the images above look fine!

hehe, yes, if you adjusted the brightness, and the 'burnt out' areas were still burnt out, then it wouldn't be your monitor settings. If the burnt out areas suddenly start to have detail, then it could be a monitor difference thing, either yours too bright or mine too dark

My main monitor is calibrated, and to be honest with you, when I calibrated it the factory default settings were almost spot on, so well done Samsung & nVidia

I really should calibrate mine I supose. That said, reducing the brightness a bit seems to have helped - I upped it a bit from what it was when I posted above, and the white on the pics you posted does still have detail - but it's not too dark now!
