Todays experiments .....
Hope I'm not boring you all yet with my experimenting!
Today I borrowed a macro lens.
It is a Tamron 90mm (no idea what that means, but that is what it says on the side).
So I've been out in the garden trying it out! They weren't taken in the best conditions (windy day with 1 kid clambering on my back, 3 more charging around and a cat trying to catch every bumble bee I looked at!) and there isn't much out there apart from weeds, lavender and an apple tree, but I had fun trying!

Hubby is putting the trampoline up at the moment, so tomorrow will probably be action shots
(Most likely followed by a trip to A&E where I could get some people at work shots!)

I think they are very, very good. The only one that doesn't work for me is the textured bee image. I don't think that treatment is right for that shot.
However the apple is brilliant and the textured look does compliment the image very well.

I'm in total agreement with Steve - and the Apple picture is exceptionally good.
It's good to see you experimenting and developing an emerging style too. Keep at it - this photography lark is simple, eh!

...great of your friend to lend you that lens, and you have picked up this photography lark so quickly, let alone the PP as well which is something in itself...looks like you are going places with your photography Emma. Good pics.

Emma, these are fab - an excellent start in macro certainly - and that apple one... what wouldn't I do to have it printed onto placemats!

You are totally right about the bumble bee. It didn't feel right at the time and I should have listened to that and reworked it.

I like it. Perhaps a change of background colour may have been nice... but even as it is it's lovely!
