Uploading from flickr

I have always used photobucket to upload my images, but after hearing about the problems and seeing the differences to my own images, I have tried to use flickr, but cant see an easy way to get the url, I right clicked on the picture to get the property and copied it from there, is this the only way to do it or am I missing something?? Thanks

Re: Uploading from flickr

Click on your image on your home page. When it opens in another screen look toward the top of the screen and you will see "All Sizes". Click this and the image will open again and at the top this time will be the different sizes you can use. If the image is the size you require then scroll down the screen and you will see "To link this photo........." and you need the second option. Highlight and copy the url and paste it into the thread.

If you want a different size then just click the size offered and repeat above.

Sounds long winded but after a while it easy and quick.

Re: Uploading from flickr

I usually just right click and get img src - as the code they give you has a link in it which can sometimes mess up in forums.

Re: Uploading from flickr

Right why isn't it working, it just puts the link on and not the picture as per my Spanish Water Dog Puppy post? I know I'm thick.

Re: Uploading from flickr

I put

[*img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3390/3489168585_0441676586.jpg?v=1241131185[/img*]

without the asterisks inside the square brackets. I had to put them in there to stop the code showing the image and not the text

Re: Uploading from flickr

Steve, you can use the NOPARSE tags to stop code from 'working', eg:

Which is actually:
