Chocolate British Shorthair.

Firstly I must apologise for my absence lately, hopefully I can put that right from now.

These were taken at the request of the Cats breeder to be used on a tablecloth and on a breed website illustrating breed colours. Im fairly pleased with them.

Natural light, 50mm lens. Only editing is removing a couple creases which made the background more uniform in appearance too.

Re: Chocolate British Shorthair.

Both are good but number for me is the better of the two.

In number 1 I don't like the way the tail disappears out of the shot but in both you have fulfilled the brief by capturing the detail and the colour of the cat.

Re: Chocolate British Shorthair.

Agree with Steve - number 2 for me too - it is a shame about the tail in number one - but anyone who looks at my rat website will see I'm terrible for amputating tails too - for me they're too long, and not the most interesting part of the animal - and if you have a shot with the tail in too, frequently you don't get a close enough look at the rest of the animal

Gorgeous photos though! Number two is fab - and I'm sure that the breeder will love them.

Re: Chocolate British Shorthair.

Thanks Steve. Getting everything on is not easy, but I agree it may of been better if I could of managed it. They wanted more "Cat" than background if that makes sense, consequently I had to forego the tail. That image is not cropped at all. The second image is also not cropped but took more time to get the required look, I used a toy to make him rech over the edge and luckily he stayed there a while!!

Thanks again Steve your commenst are appreciated.

Thanks Zoundz, the breeder LOVES them! I do agree about the tail, but for me it doesnt detract too much from the overall image. Should all be docked if you ask me!

Re: Chocolate British Shorthair.

I love number 2 ....I don't like the fact that number 1 is not complete, and somehow, his head seems very small......

Never mind, and I cant agree on the head point either. Your opinion of course but on 3 forums including this one, and one breed specific forum, nobody has ever mentioned that!
