Shadow Play

Thought I'd share these as they're a bit different to my usual offerings.

Fiona was on the carpet next to my chair and seemed fascinated with her shadow cast by the evening sun.

I only had the little compact camera to hand so with it rested on the arm of the chair I fired a couple of shots off.

I knew the contrast would be ridiculous but decided to convert to B&W and make a feature of the darkness / lightness rather than try to adjust levels.

Anyway - opinions, comments welcome as ever.

Re: Shadow Play

They are great Phil, crisp, sharp and different enough to be interesting as images and not just as photographs of your daughter.

Re: Shadow Play

Well Phil, I suppose there has always got to be one who will rock the boat. As it stands, image #1, without your text just does nothing for me at all. However, after applying a 50% setting in PS to both Shadows & Highlights it produced an image which, in my humble opinion is excellent. It stands on its own without the need for words.

Re: Shadow Play

I love these, and seeing a sthey are spur of the moment shots, really good, just shows what can be achieved with a P&S and a good eye.

I love this stage that Fiona is atm, where they really start to explore enjoy!
