This time I'm trying to get more punchy colours

Another picture of a small person in our hall way. This time though I'm trying to get more omph to the colours.
Any tips?

Also, do you prefer this crop? I can't decide!

P.S. The reason that this child is upside down is because that is what he does and who he is!

Think I like the crop because it stops you wondering why there are not legs. Another good shot, unless you have lights your hallway has some lovely light to shot by.

That second one is great LM very good.

Re colour, you could boost the saturation in PP.

Re: This time I'm trying to get more punchy colours

Actually looking at the skin tone I think you have it just right, if you did wish to boost the colour in PP I would make sure you used a mask to make sure you do not increase colour saturation where it is not needed. ie to boost saturation in the Jersey it would be inclined to become navy and creamy or light blue. Would say the only area would be the floor and I think that unnecessary.

Re: This time I'm trying to get more punchy colours

It has already been bosted in PP quite a bit and face tone worked on, wasn't sure if I'd got it right yet.

I would leave well alone, that is a good job and any further tweaking may spoil it.

Re: This time I'm trying to get more punchy colours

I like the second one, I think it is a very simple but very effective image. Love it. However for me I'd have to change it and predictably from me but I think it would work in black and white or less saturated colour! Most here will know I don't make a habit of editing other peoples pictures, but this I was itching to get it closer to how I'd want it to be!

or

Ok, these are my ideas and opinions only, but you have flagged edits as OK, and these are my opinions only.

I like the simplicity of the more muted colours and tones as it's a very simple picture. I like the two eye contact (not just one in the original) and on one version, the floor starts in whiteout just to see how it worked. These are only quick edits as ideas.

Brill picture...now, where can I hire some kids for a morning!...

PS. Just uploaded these and photobucket seems to have lost a slight bit of detail again and increased contrast to the edits on my screen, but these are only ideas. Ignore if you wish. Most people ignore me!
