Not for me, would have preferred three different shots, what I take to be the original lacks sharp detail. Others may not agree but for triptych to work well each section must be as strong and interesting as the others. Do like the idea of pebbles though and would urge you to try again.

I think even moving the 'original' to the middle may help?
