Abbey Window

Another from the trip...I definitely had a bit of a window thing going on, probably something to do in the absence of any birds!!

Might even make them into a themed Tryptych or something It was such a beautiful place

What a fab window, personally I would lose maybe half of the undergrowth under the window, but that is just personal preference, and it is already a lovely image xxx

Yeah, I think I agree Suzi. The more I look at it the more that big ornamental thistle thing distracts me!! I guess cropping it out apart from the very top would make it a bit less obvious.

It's a nice window - but I think it needs that golden hour sunshine or sommin to make the photo stand out

Sady the place shuts at 5, otherwise I'd go back and have another go!! We were in the pub drinking cider by sunset..was still a bit of a golden hour though for that reason!

Have to be honest, this just looks like any church window too me, not really anything that grabs my attention. Lighting looks a bit flat to add any interest. Personally I'd have stayed in the pub for another one rather than this one

I know landscape/architecture really isn't my thing, so no probs with the honesty BC!

Maybe I'll lay off posting any more until I've got some that I'm totally happy with and see what you think by then....could be a long wait though! I'm definitely my worst critic and usually just bin everything bar a couple of shots, which I then try to do PP on, fail miserably, and add them to the bin a few days later!

I think the shot is well executed but the composition does not work for me, perhaps if the window was not central or it was lower in the shot, tbh I am just starting in landscape myself so I too am having to sort out these sort of problems.
