Charity Clays Day

Last Saturday 18 of us got together for a charity clays afternoon. 60 clays each, all facilities, clays, traps and land provided by one of the lads. Had a great day and managed a couple of pictures too.

We raised on the day £401 for the SBS Association which provide help for SB members, and their families, who have die or have been injured in current conflicts. We are hoping to top this up to £500 over the next couple of weeks with sales of pics of the day and other little schemes we have planned.

To the bottom right you can see the camera I had set up on a low tripod with a wireless shutter release attached. This gave me a range of 80 meters.

Nice shots especially the first although your camera looks perilously close to that trap in the second.

I know how those clays sting if they hit you at close quarters.

Looks like a fab time was had!

SBS? Special Boat Squadron?

Brilliant cause Steve - as you know your charity is close to my heart. I'm sure the boys and their families will appreciate it.

I will have to post some of my 'shooting' pics on here - I shoot twice a week here - if you come out don't bother bringing your gun I can give you a loan of any from about 20.

I shot one of those rifles once, when I was a kid... my shoulder went flying backwards! I felt like shooting the person who gave me it to for not telling me what would happen

Then my dad and his (I'm macho) buddies came out to try and shoots some birds! I was secretly glad they didn't manage to get any

I'll take you up on that one day Jack. I tried to make it to the Salops Gundog training session when you made a visit a few weeks ago but the back just wasn't up to the journey.
