Wot I dun 4 my burfday

Yesterday I organised a Meet for Terry Pratchett fans, to come and have a look at the new Dr Who exhibition at the Transport Museum in Coventry. For these people are my friends, it was nearly my birthday, I like Dr Who, and...what the heck, I was bored.
And what do you know? Coventry turned out to celebrate my birthday too...

Of course, it turned out to be The Coventry Carnival, which fell fortuitously on the same day and meant many people coming to *my* meet couldn't get in to the city to park. Curse you, Lady Godiva! CURSE YOU!!!!

Anyway...to the transport museum...and here the pics get a little better

There were cars. On show. And the thing is with cars on show, it is hard to be inventive with the pics...

And thence to

Dr Who!

How many of you remember the werewolf episode, with Queen Victoria, and the telescope device?

Well, the werewolf wasn't exactly right...as you can see in the viewfinder...

Many lots of iconic Dr Who exhibits, including the Ood

And the cybermen

But of course, the favourites were Davros

AND...THE...DALEKS!

And finally for yesterday, a couple of my girlfriend's new classic Mini

Significant, because of what we did today...which will be posted...later...

Great day out, still don't think anyone can better Jon Pertwee and Roger Delgado and the Autons, and the Cybermen. etc. seen through my ten year old eyes. Hope you enjoyed your day out, and the girlfriends car looks interesting, very patriotic...excellent.

Pertwee and the Autons were my era too, he'll always be *my* Doctor. And Delgado was brilliant as The Master
