Basic, Fine setting?

2mb sounds like basic and nothing wrong in JPEG tbh.

Re: D60 small Image size?

I have noticed there is a considerable drop when converting from RAW to Jpeg if thats any help.

Try resetting your camera back to factory default by pressing the 2 buttons with a green dot next to them

Re: D60 small Image size?

Perhaps I should start shooting in RAW then Guessing you need to convert the files once they've uploaded? Is there any good free software to do that?

Re: D60 small Image size?

Why do you want bigger files? Are you not happy with the quality of the jpeg ones?

There should be software that came with your camera to do this. I'm not a Nikon person but with all Canon cameras you are provided with DPP which is a RAW converter. I have no doubt Nikon provide similar software.

Why shoot Jpeg and throw away a lot of the information gathered by the sensor when you can retain every tiny little bit of information with RAW.

I'm winding you up guys
