My Girlies were in the paper today.....

Apologies for the ripped edges - Hannah got the paper first

The ears were drooping and the big cardboard car had 'gone' by this point.

PS

I went to the website of the newspaper where you can opt to buy which then takes you to this......

http://3400.e-printphoto.co.uk/centr...searchtype=ref

...enter the ref (shown under the pic) which allows me or anybody else to buy prints, mugs, jigsaws, mouse mats etc etc.

I'm not bothered otherwise I wouldn't have been happy about the pic in the paper but I was curious to know when I've put images for sale to websites which have contained people I'm asked for model release forms ?

Is it because they are not selling them for commercial use ?

Re: My Girlies were in the paper today.....

I don't know for sure Phil but when we have had some events at work and such the local rag has asked visitors etc. to give permission. Our press office won't publish pictures of public visiting events etc. without gaining their permission. so, I would *guess* permission is needed although it may be in a public arena rather than on private land?

Re: My Girlies were in the paper today.....

I thought the press could publish anyone as long as they are in a public place. [or private if your called beckham]

Great pics though.

I understand the concern for anyone buying the prints though and that brings us to the putting pics on line in candid photography again i suppose ....which has been discussed at length.

I would say that was commercial use, they will obviously profit from the sales they will make. I do find it a bit disconcerting!

Lovely photo of your two girls though

Re: My Girlies were in the paper today.....

Excellent to see it in the paper, but I think you're right to be concerned about the model release issue.
