Me! Woho..

****.. Sold my Elinchrom Ranger today. So now there will not be much shooting on me until I get my pre-ordered AB Max 640's in the end of July =/ Shit.. Gonna be the longest two months in my life for sure.

But well. Here's a self portrait in my room on a boring evening. I don't think I'm gonna get sick of the 50mm 1.4's DOF and bokeh like.. Ever.

You need to check it out LARGE!

Helllooooo Tommy

Seriously, great shot, love the use of natural light too. Agree the D700 and the 50mm make great partners.

Re: Me! Woho..

Just want to echo what the others have said.

I like the natural lighting.

I appreciate the shallow dof the 50mm f/1.4 is giving and the eyes are really 'nailed' from that respect but as a result I'm drawn to that area of blurred hair above your right (our left) eye as it stands out quite strongly overall.

Re: Me! Woho..

I really like this shot. I can see where Phil is coming from as the OOF area is rather large, however I find that because it is out of focus my eye is drawn back to the eyes so in that respect the DoF is very good.

Re: Me! Woho..

Very nice portrait Tommy, the colours are nice and you have your eye in focus too

I had to do a self portrait when I was at college a few years ago and appreciate how 'tricky' they can be

Well done.

All the best,
Alan.
