Re: Dunottar Castle

That is nice, what a lot of work for the frame, I take it it is not a shot of a shot. It is just a degree off level but apart from that I like it. Beautiful colours and I like the composition. Would like a little more detail in the walls and think it may be a little over exposed but you know me I don't really know what I am talking about.

Would straighten and increase the blacks a little to give a little more bite and detail. As Azz says looks a beautiful place to visit.

Or you could try a new copy layer and change the light to soft light then adjust the amount of change required - if you like it then merge the layers and sharpen just a little bit on the luminosity.

Re: Dunottar Castle

It's a great location. I keep meaning to stop off on the way home when I'm up in Aberdeen but I never seem to find the time. I 'd fancy going on a moody cloudy day although it's a tad exposed in bad weather.

Re: Dunottar Castle

Thanks everyone, it was a really bright sunny day, all the pictures I took looked very bland and uninteresting!! Mistakenly I shot these is raw, forgot to switch back after messing about with the settings! I had never used raw before and was not sure of the editing process! I liked this one the best, thought it benefited from the frame.

Re: Dunottar Castle

I really like it a lot - and Jackie covered everything I thought of - so all I'll say is I like it - and the frame is ace!
