Badgers, Roe Deer and Brown Hares

Have just returned from a fabulous week in Dorset, where I was privileged to spend many happy hours photographing the wild mammals round the area we were staying in

Badgers - I was really pleased with these considering I was shooting through a perspex hide window

Roe Deer doe...taken while lurking in a hedge full of stinging nettles

6.

Brown Hares, taken using the car as a hide...these little guys were all over the place on the track up to the farm we were staying at

Re: Badgers, Roe Deer and Brown Hares

Yes, definitely!. I'm especially guilty of that at kite feeding centres.

With these lot I had plenty of time to just enjoy watching the animals as well though. On the badgerwatch it got too dark for photos fairly quickly so I just watched them for an hour or so after getting a few shots, and the hares and deer were only down the road from the farm, so I watched them every night whether they were close enough for photography or not. One night the hares were actually boxing, which was really special to see

Thanks guys!

It's raining here now, so at least it gives me plenty of time to sort through everything else from the holiday...I haven't even started the bird ones yet!
