Thanks...I was walking underneath (as you can tell), and you could hear the crackle and hum of barely-contained power emanating from the lines. I wanted to somehow imagine, and image, this invisible yet devastating energy...

I was wondering whether the dark colours contribute to the feeling of clutter...I may try and change the background for something lighter

Re: Power!

Possibly, the pylon thingy is just sort of a bit too jumbled up somehow, and the viewpoint, and the current background confuses it a bit. Sometimes less is more. Sorry but there isn't a lot I can get from this, but remember that is only my opinion, may appeal to someone else.

Re: Power!

Hate to go against what BC is saying - but I really like it! I read in a photography magazine recently a critique for a similar sort of picture, that was highly edited, and the people critiquing it were ever so harsh - saying that the sort of PP done to it was compensating for a bad photo - I didn't agree at all!!

I think this has a very interesting feel to it indeed - it *is* a bit cluttered, but in a way that really adds to the sense of confusion, and buzzing nature of the picture. I think you captured what you say you set out for! For me anyway!
