Re: Red Chair project

Well, it's an interesting project, and I really love some of the portraits, especially the heavily tattooed lady, really like like that one alot.

Being naked is a great equaliser, whatever walk of life you are from, naked we are all the same, the trappings of our life aren't visible.

Is it wrong to say , I love the chair

They are going to make an amazing exhibition, welcome to the forum too xx

Re: Red Chair project

You seem to have pulled it off well Michael, there are some great ones in there - I esp like some of the tattooed ladies, this one in particular surprised me:

I would never have expected someone who looked like her to have such a large tat (I really like the tat too - very unique).

Well done, and welcome to YoP

Re: Red Chair project

I agree with Suzi I like the full tattooed lady as well but had a funny turn when I noted the nipple rings, tattoo yes, intimate body piecing not at all sure.

Welcome to YOP look forward to seeing some more of your work.

Re: Red Chair project

Michael

Truly great work in the Red Chair Project. However, I am fascinated as to why (despite the theme being a red or colored chair) the final presentation is Mono?

Also, and this is really a nit-picking item, the word 'Controversial' is spelt incorrectly on your website and it distracts from the otherwise excelent work.

Re: Red Chair project

Thank you for your input.
I have to fix my spell check wit the website. And the chair is actually red and the finished product of all one hundred images will have the red hand colored back onto the char. I did not want to show cheesy "Photoshopped" color on the website.

Thanks again,
Michael

I used to teach swimming and it was suprising to see what people had under their everyday clothes! Don't get me started on piercings..!

This is an interesting project although it does follow similar lines to other projects where people get a chance to feel 'liberated' and an artist of some description records everyday people nude or casts a body part or something. With 'red' being a descriptor of title, maybe the chair should be red at least. Maybe if there is going to be a book or an album then a still of the chair in colour and maybe some colour images amongst the black and white keeps viewers linked to the 'red' idea.

Re: Red Chair project

Love the photos and what a brilliant idea for an exhibition. I'm surprised at how uncomfortable some of them appear to be whilst others are clearly very comfortable in their own skins!
