Bongo Fury Tin Peened Reindeer

Peen is a very special little lady to me, and one of my closest friends She's really adorable, very loving, and spends a lot of time cuddling me - and is very sad at the moment, as her cage mate passed away last night. She's now back in with her other friends, but she's been living with Venus for weeks, and is at a bit of a loose end now so we did a bit of a photoshoot today to distract her - she really enjoys it!

So here she is - my lovely Russian Silver Agouti Named Peen by Nicola she was meant to be called Reindeer!

What don't you like about them? The middle one is not a favourite of mine either, but I can't work out why...I think the colour is part of it :/

Re: Bongo Fury Tin Peened Reindeer

They just don't stand out like the first one Z - the composition angles and expression just don't seem to work on them. Someone sent me some rat pics ages ago, I'll see if I can find them for you - try to emulate them

Wow Z, Peen is a beautiful rat
That first photo is perfect - that little pink nose is just too cute. Well done!

Re: Bongo Fury Tin Peened Reindeer

I admit I had to laugh when I looked at the first photo. It took me just a moment to figure out what I was viewing. The crop is great. The depth of field adds great artistic value to the photo. The cute, pink nose is adoreable.

The second & third shot don't work for me first because of your composition. The pet is too centered and her body position isn't comfortable or natural. It's like she has just been dropped in that spot and doesn't know her next move.

Re: Bongo Fury Tin Peened Reindeer

I like the first one - maybe a tighter crop would be good too - and ensure the nose is bang on central - let the magic of symmetry come alive!

The other two would benefit from a better considered emplacement and composition - as bob has described.
