Toys... :D or Nostalgia!

Just a few shots I took today experimenting with a new light studio I made earlier I was rather pleased with a couple of these Thinking of entering He-Man and Battlecat in the camera club 'transport' competition

Lol I remb He Man

I'd aim for a more natural light than a flash Z - try taking them out on the lawn

If I took them on the lawn now, they'd get very wet! And probably disappear among the nettles and dock leaves! Face it Azz - you just want to go back to your childhood... taking He-man out into the garden pretending it was a jungle! Or was that *just* me?

I don't know if He-man can ever really look natural mind - I think he looks like the lovechild of Peter Andre and Fabio on a bad day as it is!!!

I don't like the HE-Man image for a number of reasons.... The harsh shadows, poor lighting, the cropped foot, too much space on the right, positioning of He Man.... it is flat and undynamic, thus really doesnt work very well.

Now I like number two for its' simplicity, better lighting and composition. I could see that on a quirky Get Well card.

Number three is ok too - but suffers from such a tight crop, and I'd be inclined to include the whole reflection of the pride 'eating'.

Thanks JR. I would have preferred to see more of the reflection on thelion one too - but at that angle there simply wasn't any more, and whenever I changed angle it didn't work quite right :/ Of course, it would help if I actually had a separate flash unit, rather than just the on-camera one, which poses all sorts of problems of its own

I rather liked my he-man image I think the big issue with it was that it was actually just too big for the box I made so really was never going to work properly. Ah well!

Number 2 is my fave as well...I agree that the other 2 would work better outdoors with more natural lighting, maybe on a piece of green felt or something rather than the He-man obscuring jungle garden!!
