Fox baby! :D

You can't imagine how happy I was to see these little chaps! I knew we had foxes in our field, but last night we saw babies for the first time! They are adorable - and obviously not very very young, but definitely not adults. They are so adorable at this age! I am over the moon to have gotten these photos at all - even though they're a bit distant. I'm hoping to set up a hide in the field and get a bit closer, but we'll see. For now, I could only take pics from the back of my garden:

1. Here's two babies together, one flumped over the other

2. Here they are playing:

3. and the rest are of one chap on his own:

7. With his den:

8. That face!!!

Re: Fox baby! :D

Well done Zoundz that can't of been easy at all and one or two of those shots are excellent. If you can set up and successfully use a hide I will expect some more of your excellent shots. I pinch my husbands fishing bivvy and it is surprising how quick the birds ignore it, they disappear when I get in it but are back in a very short while.

It is somehow more exciting to take wild animals in the wild not that I am knocking those taken at zoos etc they are still wild animals and still difficult to get that spot on shot.

Re: Fox baby! :D

Well, I am impressed! how lucky are you, to have these two on your doorstep to watch!

I think some of them are really good, and don't be offended but the saturation seems really strong, maybe tone the green down slightly.

Definitely have the awww factor to them.

Re: Fox baby! :D

In all honesty, I've not increased saturation at all - that is how it looks here at the moment - it's not called The Emerald Isle for nothing! Must be all this rain! I may have a go later on at desaturating some of the greens a bit.

Thank you ever so much though! I know hwo lucky I am to be able to watch these little ones, and I'm very excited!

Re: Fox baby! :D

The saturation looks ok to me, must be that American grass that Suzi has been looking at.

Re: Fox baby! :D

Do you know, you could be right, the sky is a wonderful blue ,and the earth a really rich ochre, but the grass is paler in comparison, so maybe it is my eyes. OMG I have American eyes xxx

Re: Fox baby! :D

Yeah - by the same token, I'm not entirely sure what blue sky looks like...

Nice pictures - but be sure to let your local Gamekeeper know where the Earth is.
