Isn't it weird?....

How we all see things differently, and have certain preferences as to what we think does or doesn't make a good image for ourseleves. Yet, the principles of photography technically stay the same

Zoundz and Snaps said how they aren't keen on Mono landscapes, where I personally love them. I love moodiness in a pic
I think editing a pic helps realise it's full potential , whereas others think the perfect shot comes straight out of the camera.

Also , how come a technically spot on perfect shot, can bore the pants off me? and a less than perfect one, can really get me excited?

Yet, we all love photography, but have very different in tastes

Sorry, just one of my rambling posts just thinking out loud really XXX

Re: Isn't it weird?....

You're spot on Moon.

I'm chatting online with an old friend just now. We used to play guitar together.

Music like photography has fundemental rules and whilst those rules are important building blocks to producing decent results.....we all like different things.

I can think of many guitarists that are technically brilliant but I just don't like what they play. Likewise there's folk out there that are limited in what they can do but their style of playing and the songs they write appeal to me.

Re: Isn't it weird?....

LOL No Southern Comfort was used in this post!

It was just some randomness that popped into my head after reading some of Zoundz's post and our replies, we all have different views and ideas, yet the techniques and fundamentals stay the same.

Yes, guitar is a perfect example Phil! that has the basics in place, but then you need to put your feel to it.

Re: Isn't it weird?....

Love it!!!!!! that is a great piece.

For me it is about the end result, music or photography, it is the image you end up with or the music you create.

I don't give a monkeys how someone does it, I just know if I like something!

So, if not following the rules , creates something unique and different, that is fine by me xxx

Re: Isn't it weird?....

Yep, definitely but I think we can get too bogged down in rules sometimes, and then get scared to break them

We are being very philosophical tonight it's the late night tv show of Yo!
