Roadwork

Here is a hint as to my other passion. It was taken on one of my favourite roads. I was trying to capture the lean angle of the bike and the sense of pursuing the next bend in the road.

Kit 1
Canon EOS 650D
EFS 18-55 IS II
EFS 55-250 IS II
EF 50mm 1.8
Kit 2
Lumix FZ-28 (not quite an SLR but more versatile)
My Compact/P&S: Lumix FT-10

Re: Roadwork

It works well, the composition of the road really guides your eye (if that makes sense). Like the mirror in the left corner too.

Re: Roadwork

Sorry but I want the road straight and the bike leaning, although a good shot it gives me an unnatural feel. Do like the reflection in the wing mirror though and feel a sense of movement if you are able to do this would also give more of a sense of what you are trying to achieve.

The laws of physics don't permit the bike to lean if the road is straight (at least not without running off the road anyway).

Perhaps you meant that I should straighten the horizon?

Re: Roadwork

The image gives the impression that the bike is taking a right hand corner and if I were on the bike I would have expected the bike to heel to the left and the horizon to be level, well that is how it feels. I was trying to say that was not how this image looked and therefore seemed unnatural although an interesting shot.

Not hot on physics but always thought it to be centrifugal force unless the bike is still in which case it may be upright, there does not seem to be any straight road in the shot although there may have been in actuality.

You know the saying Bob - Some drive on the right side and some on the correct side

Nice shot. Perhaps it's 2nd nature but I'm actually looking at the road ahead.
