Thunderstorms - best way to photograph them?
Hi,
We have thunderstorms forecast for this Saturday and I was wondering about trying to get some shots of the lightening ( if it happens
) Can you wonderful people give me some idea about what settings to use/try

Think it is something along the lines of camera on a sturdy tripod, stop down the lens to f8/f11/16 and open the shutter on T or B for 30-45 seconds or so. ISO maybe around 200. Hopefully you will get lightning bolt at which point close the shutter. Don't think you will get any hard and fast rules, simply down to the ambient lighting, intensity of the storm etc.

Simple. Just put your camera in video mode and shoot away.
