Now I understand ISO!

It's there so that I can take pictures of Eddy (who has a bit of glaucoma) without using the flash and catch his beautiful brown eyes instead of getting a horrid glare back as it bounces off the bluey tinge in his eye!
(I'm sure it's not just there for my sake, but I'm so glad to get a nice pic of the old fella!)

Okay so I'm not very good at it yet, but due to great IS on the new camera, I upped the ISO (I think I put it to 800) and therefore no need to use the flash and got one of the best pics I've ever got of my beautiful boy!

(I hope it's uploaded to photbucket ok because it looks grainy on my connection but it's due to me having mobile internet)

Re: Now I understand ISO!

Thanks guys!

I know it's not properly composed and the chair is in the way but Eddy hates having his photo taken so I just have to grab any opportunity I can!

Re: Now I understand ISO!

Lottie that is such a big step you have taken on board and understood. Would not worry about the chair but if you are able you could remove the chrome handle and the wires, the chair is fine and sometimes as you say you have to grab when you can.

Its not your internet connection, the trade off for increasing the ISO is that it will also increase the grain in your images.

EFS 55-250 IS II
EF 50mm 1.8
