Re: Down in the dumps

Love the shot Phil, like the thought behind it but wished you had moved the giant toilet roll at the front. The rest of the shot is pristine and there is just this one piece of rubbish takes up prime position. It could be that is serves some purpose but I would still like it gone.

Love everything else about it.

Re: Down in the dumps

I wasn't going to comment on this as i didn't like it patrticularly but I'll do so to encourage people to feedback more good or bad. In another thread someone has just said they don't usually comment just to say it's good. If people have taken the time and trouble to go out and take pictures and post them here then some acknowledgement for that effort has to be made. Otherwise if we all had that attitude why would anyone post at all? People acknowledge other peoples effort please! Impossible to do all i know.

Sorry Phil but I don't think this is the best of that picture. The colours are superb, exposure looks fine but that old pipe looks a little out of place in the context of really what is nice scenery. If you like it is too nice to be 'a dump' or rubbish, you need an old pram, a bike, a couple of fridges Also I think the nice house etc are too far in the distance if we consider it a scenic shot. So, I just did a small edit and it sits in my mind better. Only did this to illustrate a point, not say this is the perfect finalised picture. As I always say, it's only my way of thinking, doesn't mean I am right. I hope you don't mind.

Re: Down in the dumps

No problem BC thanks for the feedback. I would have liked an old supermarket trolley.

I've got tons of others to go through yet.

Re: Down in the dumps

I completely agree with BC - and have to say I think he's done a very good thing in trying to give slightly more negative, but allthewhile very constructive criticism! I think the edit is superb - and now I really like the image - well done to both of you!
