Mill Windows

Took a stroll around Stanley Mills today.

Certainly somewhere I'd go back to.

Not been through all the pics yet but here's one of the Mill wall. It reminded me of the Physical Graffiti album cover.

Thanks. The Mill is much bigger. That's about 1/8th of the wall I guess but I thought that section worked OK.

I altered the perspective in PS to try and get it 'square' and I darkened the walls either side of the centre wall just to divide it up a bit.

Re: Mill Windows

you've done a very good job there Phil.

I don't know if it was intentional - but I'd like to see equal amounts of windows either side of the main wall for symmetry. Nevertheless, as I said a nice image and good pp work.

Re: Mill Windows

Like that Phil, not only your work but the work of those who built it need admiration.

Part of Alan's family owned mills in the past and some of them are enormous, I know there was a good deal of poverty around at the time but the pride in the workmanship is visible to this day. Please don't tell me it is a modern building, although it would be nice if it were.

Look forward to seeing some more of the shots you took today.

Thanks Jack - I hadn't given it that much thought to be honest.

No it's not a new building. Here's a link to Stanley Mills. I'll post some more later.
