Strange, I was thinking that would work either all in black and white, or with the sitter in black and white looking out onto a dream of colour, but not quite sure the way it is...and maybe crop out that post in the left hand side. Of course, that is only my humble opinion...

Re: Quiet Contemplation

Well, except in a very few circumstances I don't like anything from nature in mono when it looks so good in colour, so I would prefer the shot in colour, just my opinion and as you have gone with black not one I would expect you to agree with.

Think the composition and execution is good and prefer the crop in the all mono version, in fact a very good image, it is just a colour thing for me.

There is one thing that would improve it, even in mono, that is to increase the contrast in the sky a little, there is some detail, just visible, so you should be able to increase the contract a little bit.

Re: Quiet Contemplation

I like the crop - but also the mono with colour put back in. I'm not sure about it all in mono - but I think the original idea works well.

Re: Quiet Contemplation

I can feel & see the mood you're trying to convey in the shot. Try blurring the background using a vignette to draw more attention to the person
