Anybody used camerabox?

Hi, has anyone used camerabox.co.uk for purchasing cameras? Their products are the cheapest I can find and come with a 2 year guarantee (where stated) but I'm just wanting to check that nobody's had bad experiences with them... just seems a bit too good to be true!

I was planning to order from them but wanted to be sure that they were reputable and helpful...

Thanks!

Re: Anybody used camerabox?

Not only never bought from them but not heard of them so unable to give you any help. Do make sure that the stock they sell is UK stock and not what is known as grey, which I understand can lead to problems should you require updates or parts or spares. Also check what the guarantee covers and will you get a reasonable turn round if repair is required and who pays the carriage expenses.

They said there was a note on the website about it may be longer cos of the bank Holiday, but the guy in customer services said HE removed it yesterday, when I aid that would directly affect people ordering yesterday, he wouldnt answer me, I then got an email yesterday afternoon, saying the camera would be here today.... it isnt!! Re: Anybody used camerabox?

I've never ordered from them but they have been around quite a while. Personally I'd rather order of them than a site I've never heard of before.

How much cheaper are they?

Re: Anybody used camerabox?

Don't know if this is the same company but I recall either this or another company with a similar name advertising they had stock. When placing an order the stock suddenly wasn't there.I am NOT saying it is THIS company but when you do a comparison on price with several other companies and it is being advertised a lot cheaper, for me alarm bells start ringing.

Do a price check here. It comes up with the Nikon D300 which was my interest ,but you can look up the other cameras on the list

Re: Anybody used camerabox?

I dont think they are any cheaper, I didnt use them for that reason, it was the guaranteed next day delivery I wanted, which NEVER happened!!
