Please explain

I have just noticed that when I upload photos from my 7mp camera at 3336x2264 pixels it appears in Paintshop Pro as 45.5 inches wide by 30.5 high whereas my 10mp camera shooting at 3648x2736 only appears as 20.25 x 14.5 inches even though it is a higher resolution.

I have checked that it isn't the uploading program by pulling the file direct from the camera into Windows (drag and drop).

Can anyone explain why this difference would be?

EFS 55-250 IS II

Image quality settings on the camera I guess - are they set to 'full' or highest quality?

yes the highest setting is chosen on both cameras. And by the way, they are both Canon lumix models

Re: Please explain

That's odd - have you copied one file into another to see if there is actually any difference in size?

It will be the dpi which simply affects the print size. Look at the dpi settings for both, you should find that the 10MP image has a greater dpi.

@greyhawk
Thanks, you were correct the 10mp images are 180 dpi.
