Some more bird shots from the last few months
A few pics taken at various places around where I live...mostly since I got the D300. Any suggestions for improvement are very welcome, as I'm still feeling very much like a photography newbie and won't be offended if you think they're rubbish!

The pheasant and the Hooded Mergansers were at WWT Arundel, the Redshank and Greylag were at WWT Llanelli, Kingfisher was at WWT Slimbridge, Treecreeper and Nuthatch were at Dryslwyn, and the Puffin shot was from Skomer last year

The Nuthatch, Puffin and Kingfisher are superb, you were VERY lucky to get a Kingy well done!!!!

The Kingfisher was actually a real stroke of luck....he fished from a tree about 15m away from where a group of us were standing, and was totally unfazed by the crowd! He stuck around in the area for about 15 minutes as well, and made everyones day

Very good images - I like the composition in most of them. Youve managed to capture some great characters.
