Interesting shots Eileen, a view one often sees from the back of the settee having just done the washing up 
You seem to have captured the skin texture well and joking apart it is nice to try something different and I think the second one is very good, the first is not so well light.

Creative angles put an interesting perspective on the norm, but the shots are not to my taste - I think that could be because there are not enough blacks in the image - try upping your contrast to achieve some better richer tones for the BW
