In the Shadows

Another mono portrait. I tried to capture the light coming through the roof and the look on the guys face.

Re: In the Shadows

Keep looking at it seriously wouldn't look out of place in a paper, are you sure you weren't friends with Kevin Carter?

Re: In the Shadows

Wow - I'm flattered you consider it in the same ilk as Kevin Carter's work.

Thank you.

Re: In the Shadows

Think this must be my favourite of those I have seen of your army based shots. It is totally satisfying as an image but very thought provoking as well, find myself wondering what happened to the original inhabitance of the building.

Please do not tell me it is a purpose built exercise building, don't think it can be as previous personnel have left their mark on the walls but then again I guess it may well be.

I 'm humbled to be in the presence of greatness. I think your military shots are amazing, and this one tops them all (of the ones that I have seen).

Re: In the Shadows

Great work again JR - although a little too sharp?? There is alot going on in the image and it takes a while to find your focus - but that works. The uniformaty of the cast light in the chaos of the room, and the further addition of the serene looking soldior really makes this shot.
