New Faux floor

Im really pleased with a new flooring idea i have come up with I was thinking about buy some plexi glass to make the floor of my images have that nice reflective look (similar to Burnt Pixels images of his daughter) But while i was out today i was looking at some laminate flooring and thought that would look great! So I payed for a batch and using only 7 slats i made myself a faux floor! I also went over to B7Q and got some skirting to get a more convincng feel of a wall of seemles colour and floor. Its looks wicked! The laminate still needs to be backed onto some MDF to make it more solid when moving and storing but otherwise im really pleased with the outcome!

Im hoping to get some use out of it at the local nurseries over the coming weeks, but for now - a sneaky peek at the results below and on my blog!

Re: New Faux floor

Nice one, good idea! Have the hall done like that, pic reminds me that I'm tempted to do the lounge and conservatory! Sure you can use it in some pictures but I guess we do associate laminate with flooring as we also do withe edgeing strip. What I mean is it does make the picture look like it was taken on the floor so would have to be used in the right context.

No offence intended here DC (KK) but I wish I had the day pretty much free to think of ideas and work on little photo projects. Instead am stuck at work and sapped of enthusiasm by the time I'm home. I like that sort of thing where an idea pops into your head and then you go and get the bits there and then and get it all working...

Re: New Faux floor

Thanks all im so chuffed with how its improved the overall images - they look so much "cleaner" now!

No offence taken BC - as a stay at home mum it can get sooo boring! So coming up with little projects really helps to keep my mind busy!
