What exactly is this?

Hi everyone!

I have just won this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=140315200601

But not sure if it is a Macro, or zoom convertor. It's not really clear by the description and the picture doesn't really match the description (well to me anyway).

Re: What exactly is this?

Ok, I see the item is no longer available (because we have successfully bid on it). The description was: Kenko Zoom Close-Up Lens No. 36084 and on the lens in the (photo) was written: Zoom Nikkor C f=80-200mm lens 1:4.5

Re: What exactly is this?

It will be similar to a filter but it will magnify the images for a macro effect - or at least that what it sounds like??...

Re: What exactly is this?

Zoundz...I haven't got a photo of it, unfortunately.

I think DaisyChains, you may be right, but I was hoping that it was a zoom extension, rather than a Macro. I wonder why it says on the lens 80-200mm though??

Thanks both for your replies!

Re: What exactly is this?

Is it actually a lens then Sally? As it could be an extension tube..

Re: What exactly is this?

I don't think it's just a filter, as it is being sent 2nd class post and it is costing £4.50, which to me means it must weigh quite a bit. So, it seems more likely to be a lens, rather than a filter (unless they are extortionate with thier postal costs!)

Re: What exactly is this?

Kenko make good quality TC and extentions so may be a TC is what it is, sometimes the seller has no real idea as they buy up job lots and then sell them on, anyway hope it is what you want and if not something very useful.

When I opened this post I thought is was one of the "what is this a shot of" type quiz, just shows how wrong one can be.
